From Joondalup to Mandurah, Ellenbrook to Armadale, a lot of Perth’s day disappears into traffic. A telehealth appointment lets you talk to a practitioner from home, work or the car park, without the drive or the waiting room. Here’s how booking one works.
Step 1: Book online
Pick a time that suits you on the booking page. No GP referral is needed to book.
Step 2: Complete a short intake
You’ll answer a few questions about your health history and what you’d like to talk about. This helps your practitioner use your time well.
Step 3: Join your video consult
At your appointment time, open the private link on your phone, tablet or computer. Your initial consult runs for about 20 minutes with an AHPRA-registered practitioner and costs $29.
Step 4: Follow-ups when you need them
If you and your practitioner agree a follow-up is useful, you can book one for $19. Your practitioner will also tell you if seeing your regular GP or an in-person service would be the better option.
Tips for a smooth appointment
- Find a quiet, private spot with good signal.
- Have a list of any current medicines and recent test results handy.
- Jot down your main questions before you start.
Not in Perth?
Telehealth works the same from Broome, Exmouth or anywhere in Australia. The practice is run from WA. Your practitioner may be based interstate.
